Our old mailbox wasn't that old. Maybe 3 or 4 years old. But for some reason (could it be our crazy intense summer heat or regular high wind advisories?) it no longer stayed shut and the flag would not stay up. While wander Home Depot on Friday night with all 4 kids in tow we came across a stack of mailboxes and the price was right, $5.
I brought it home and dressed it up with some vinyl and installed it. It is a huge improvement over the old.

We were buying a new mailbox right around the same time! I realized after putting up the new one ,that the only place that had our address was on the old mailbox! Would the vinyl work in a rainy climate?
ReplyDeleteThe vinyl is rated for a 5 year indoor/outdoor life. I have put it on plastic cups that have gone through the dishwasher many times. So I would think it should work fine in a rainy climate.
